PDFs can be a great way to keep all of your important documents organized and in one place, but there are a few things you can do to get more out of them when it comes to printing. Here are some tips for printing PDFs in the most efficient way possible. If you’re printing a PDF that doesn’t need to be in color, consider printing it in black and white to save on ink.

How to print in black and white on mac

To print in black and white on a Mac, open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat and select the “Print” option. In the “Print Settings” window, select the “Output” tab and choose “Black and White” from the “Printing Options” menu.

  • Use the “Print Preview” function: Before you print your PDF, be sure to use the “Print Preview” function to get an idea of how it will look when it’s printed. This will help you to make any necessary adjustments before actually printing the document. You can access the “Print Preview” function by selecting “File” > “Print” from the menu bar.
  • Choose the correct paper size: When printing a PDF, it’s important to make sure you’re using the correct paper size. Otherwise, you may end up with a document that doesn’t fit properly on the page or is cut off at the edges. To choose the correct paper size, open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat and select “File” > “Page Setup.” From there, you can select the desired paper size from the drop-down menu.
  • Set your print quality to draft mode: If you’re not worried about printing your PDF at the highest possible quality, you can save some time (and ink) by setting your print quality to draft mode. To do this, open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat and select “File” > “Print.” In the “Print Settings” window, select the “Quality & Media” tab and choose “Draft” from the “Print Quality” menu.
  • Scale your PDFs down to fit on fewer pages: If you want to print your PDF on fewer pages, you can scale it down to fit on fewer pages. To do this, open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat and select “File” > “Print.” In the “Print Settings” window, select the “Scale” tab and choose a desired scaling percentage from the “Scale To” menu.
  • Select “Print as Image” if your printer doesn’t support PDFs: If your printer doesn’t support PDFs, you can try printing your PDF as an image. To do this, open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat and select “File” > “Print.” In the “Print Settings” window, select the “Quality & Media” tab and choose “Print as Image” from the “Output Quality” menu.
  • Save paper by printing multiple pages on one sheet of paper: To save paper when printing a PDF, you can print multiple pages on one sheet of paper. To do this, open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat and select “File” > “Print.” In the “Print Settings” window, select the “Scale” tab and choose “Multiple Pages Per Sheet” from the “Pages Per Sheet” menu.

I hope these tips help you to get more out of your PDFs when printing them! If you have any other questions about printing PDFs, feel free to leave a comment below.
